Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, we will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel but our package only starts on the second day of your arrival.
Pickup by our representative from hotel in Kathmandu and start road trip to Pokhara.
Trip starts at nearly about 6.30 AM with a drive of around 6 to 7 hours
Buffet lunch will be taken in one of the roadside restaurants.
After reaching Pokhara, you can go boating in Phewa Lake (if we have enough time, as the boating facility gets closed early in the evening).
In the evening, we prepare for the trek with information from your guide.
Drive to Phedi from Pokhara (45 minutes).
Begin trek to Dhampus.
Move towards Pothana village.
Move down to Bhise Kharka through the thick rainforest.
Ascend to Tolkha.
Our trail goes down to Landrung through oak forest, and terraced fields.
Move down to Jhinudanda. (Chance to relax in the hot spring of the Modi River)
Ascend to Chhomrong with huge views of Annapurna South, Himchuli & Fishtail.
Head towards Sinuwa Danda. (The trail comes transversely to the thick rhododendron forest taking to Khuldighar)
Move down lengthy and vertical stone steps into bamboo and rhododendron jungles to Dovan.
Gradual ascent following the banks of the river Madi to a sacred valley where no meat or fish is allowed.
Continue to pass bamboo trees.
Ascent to Machhapuchhre Base Camp.
Stay in teahouse for the night.
Leave MBC, vegetation and trees behind, and enter a desert wilderness known as the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Overnight in teahouse.
Wake up early to view sunrise views of the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Begin descent, following the Modi Khola river to the Bamboo hut.
Start the day with an uphill trek to Sinewa.
Descend to Chomrong Khola river.
Final descent to Jhinudanda.
(At the end of the day, you can enjoy natural hot springs.)
Descent to the banks of Modi Khola river to Nayapul.
Take a private car for 1.5 hours drive back to Pokhara.
Transfer to hotel (trip ends).

ABC Trek is relatively easier hike in comparison to the Everest Base Camp trek. As it involves shorter days of trekking and maximum elevation of 4,130m, trekkers do not require mountaineering skills.
The best times to do ABC Trek is pre-monsoon months of March to May, and the post-monsoon months of September to December.
The weather of ABC can go up to 0°C (32°F) in winter. The day temperature in March - May ranges from 17 to 20°C (63-68°F), and in autumn, the temperature ranges from 15 to 17°C (59-63°F). In night time, it does below 10°C.
You need to pack light essentials that will suffice you for at least 8 days. Since, this is a lodge-to-lodge trek, you don't need sleeping bags. But make sure to take your medications, and warm clothes as it may get colder at higher elevations.
Trekkers will enjoy MAP meals on each day. Here is a sample menu for the trek:

Yes, electricity is available at all the teahouses, and to recharge your phones, you need to pay a nominal charge. There is no free Wi-Fi service, and don't expect high speed connectivity either.

ABC Trek route involves a total distance of 115 km or 72 miles. Everyday, you will be walking an average distance of 12 to 15 km (7 to 9 miles).
