Maldives’ Visa Types
- Tourist Visa – Granted for up to 30 days (can be extended for additional 60 days).
- Business Visa – Granted for business activities, should be obtained from Maldives Immigration.
- Work Visa – Granted for 90 days (should be extended after getting sponsorship from the employer).
- Marriage Visa – Issued for a year if married to Maldivian citizen.
Nepalese citizens are eligible for 30-day Visa on arrival for free.
Documents Required for Visa in Maldives
- Passport – The passport should at least have 6 months of validity and Machine Readable Zone (MRZ).
- Return Ticket – Maldives Immigration says a confirmed return ticket is must for free visa.
- Accommodation – Prepaid confirmed booking at accommodation.
- Funds – Apart from prepaid itinerary, you must have at least $400 or MVR 6,160.
- Health Declaration – Traveler must complete Traveler Health Declaration via IMUGA portal 96 hours before departure.
