Nepal, the land of the Himalayas, is bordered by India in the east, west, and south and China in the north. Three airlines offer international flights to Nepal: Nepal Airlines, Himalaya Airlines, and Buddha Air.
National Airlines with International Flights
Nepal Airlines is the official airline of Nepal and has direct flights to and from India (New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Japan (Tokyo, Narita), Thailand (Bangkok), Hong Kong, Qatar (Doha), Saudi Arabia (Dammam), and UAE (Dubai).

Airports in Nepal
In Nepal, there are three international airports:
- Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)
- Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA)
- Pokhara International Airport (PKR/VNPR)
Since TIA couldn’t suffice the number of flights per day, the government of Nepal proposed to have two more airports.
Currently, BWA, also known as Bhairahawa Airport, has international flights by Jazeera and FlyDubai. PKR/VNPR is still a new airport with no international flights so far.
Flights with Transits
Other than direct flights, you can take flights with transits as well. Many airlines have indirect flights to airports from North America, Europe, and Australia.
Most of the time, transit points are India, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Doha, Dubai, and Muscat.
